Ready-to-run 1U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 arrives with dual Xeon E5-2643v3 processors at 3.4 GHz and 96 GB of DDR4 memory already installed. Eight 2.5-inch drive bays and the Smart HBA H240ar controller are in place, so the system can accept SAS or SATA drives immediately. Redundant 500 W hot-swap power supplies are fitted as standard. No operating system is included.

H240ar controller enables hardware RAID

The onboard Smart HBA H240ar provides 12 Gb/s SAS and 6 Gb/s SATA connectivity with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support. This means the eight drive bays can be configured for redundancy or performance without an additional card. The Matrox G200 graphics chip with 16 MB video memory handles basic console output only. Eight drive trays with screws are supplied; drives themselves are not included.

Verify rack depth and memory ceiling

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 1U chassis and that the available depth matches the server length. The board offers 24 DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 96 GB, so the installed memory already reaches the supported limit. Two processor sockets are populated; no further CPU upgrades are possible. An operating system must be sourced separately before deployment.
