Dual Xeon E5-2630v3 server

The HP ProLiant DL380 G9 is a 2U rack system built for data-centre workloads that need dual-socket compute density. Two eight-core Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 processors at 2.4GHz provide 32 threads for virtualisation, database or application hosting. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across 24 DIMM slots, leaving room to grow toward the platform maximum. Two 1TB 7.2K SAS drives connect through the Smart HBA H240ar controller with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support.

Redundant 500W hot-swap power

Dual 500W redundant hot-swap supplies keep the server running if one unit fails or needs replacement without shutdown. The 2U chassis uses front-to-rear airflow tuned for rack rows; acoustic output is typical for enterprise gear in a cooled aisle. Power draw scales with processor load and drive activity, while the Matrox G200eH2 graphics core adds negligible thermal load. No operating system is included, so the first boot goes straight to your chosen hypervisor or OS installer.

Eight SFF bays and 24 DIMM slots

The front panel holds eight 2.5-inch SAS bays; two are populated with the supplied 1TB drives and six remain open for additional SAS or SATA media. Optional bay-2 and bay-3 kits can expand the count to 16 or 24 SFF bays, or add NVME slots in bay 2. Twenty-four DDR4 slots — twelve per processor — accept 4GB through 64GB modules up to 2400MT/s, enabling up to 3TB total memory when fully populated. The C610 chipset and H240ar controller provide 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA connectivity for current and future storage tiers.
