Behaviour under sustained load

When all 12 cores run at 3.4 GHz continuously, the power draw rises but remains within the 500 W per supply envelope, and the redundant design prevents a single supply failure from halting the server. The Smart Array P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache absorbs write bursts during prolonged database checkpoints or backup streams. Memory bandwidth scales with the populated DIMMs, so adding modules across all 24 slots increases sustained throughput for memory-bound applications.
