The Lenovo ThinkPad X280 is a 12.5-inch ultrabook built around an 8th-generation quad-core Intel Core i5-8350U processor with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory in a single module and a 1 TB PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate deployment in professional environments.

Straightforward hardware access

The chassis uses standard screws so the memory slot and M.2 drive bay can be reached after removing the bottom cover. A single DDR4 stick means only one slot is occupied, leaving room for a second module if the platform limit of 16 GB is desired. The included 45 W AC adapter connects via USB Type-C, which also carries DisplayPort video output.

Steady thermal behaviour
