The Orico TCM2 houses a single M-key NVMe SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 lengths. A JMS583 controller delivers up to 10 Gbps over USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C. Transparent polycarbonate and aluminium alloy provide triple heat dissipation without a fan. The unit draws power from the host port and includes an auto-sleep mode.

Suits users adding fast external storage

This enclosure fits anyone who wants tool-free access to one NVMe drive on the go. It does not support drives longer than 2280 or form factors other than M-key. Builders needing more than one bay or a drive larger than 2 TB per bay should consider a different solution.

Deciding spec: M-key NVMe only

The internal slot accepts only M-key NVMe protocol SSDs. Maximum supported capacity is 2 TB per bay, so a 4 TB or 8 TB drive will not be usable. Verify your SSD matches both the keying and the capacity ceiling before purchase.
