This OWC kit supplies 32 GB of DDR3L 1600 registered ECC memory in four 8 GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerEdge R815, R820, T320, T420 and T620 servers that require 240-pin DDR3L RDIMMs. Standard desktop systems cannot use registered DIMMs and will not accept this upgrade.

Each module runs at 1.35 V with CL11 latency and a 1Rx4 organisation. The registered buffer and ECC function demand a server chipset that supports registered memory; unbuffered consumer boards are incompatible.
