The OWC Atlas Dual CFexpress Type B & SDXC UHS-II Card Reader is a compact external reader designed for photographers and videographers who need fast ingest from two cards at once. It connects via USB-C and draws power from the host bus so no separate adapter is required. The Space Gray enclosure includes a built-in cable that tucks away for travel and a second USB-C port for longer cable runs at a desk. Separate LEDs show power and activity for each slot and a write-protection switch prevents accidental file deletion or formatting on both cards.

Simultaneous Ingest Up to 1032 MB/s

When a CFexpress Type B card is used alone or paired with an SDXC UHS-II card the reader delivers up to 1032 MB/s transfer speed. A single SDXC UHS-II card reaches over 300 MB/s. These figures come from CrystalDiskMark tests with Atlas Ultra V90 and Atlas Pro media on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection. Performance will vary with host hardware software and the specific cards used. The USB 3.0 interface sets the maximum bus bandwidth so sustained throughput cannot exceed that limit.

Bus-Powered Silent Operation

The reader runs entirely on bus power so it adds no external power draw and produces no fan noise. Its non-skid rubber feet and OWC ClingOn support keep the unit stable while the integrated cable reduces connector strain. Because there are no moving parts thermals remain negligible during normal ingest workflows. The write-protection switch and per-slot LEDs provide safety and status feedback without requiring software utilities.
