M.2 M-Key to six SATA 3.0 ports

This adapter converts a single M.2 M-key slot into six SATA 3.0 connectors, allowing you to attach up to six SSDs or hard drives simultaneously. It targets desktop builders who need extra internal storage without occupying additional PCIe slots. The board uses an ASMedia ASM1166 controller and includes six SATA cables, a screwdriver and mounting screws in the box.

Six drives at 6 Gbps each with 16 Gbps aggregate

Each port delivers up to 6 Gbps, giving a theoretical combined bandwidth of 16 Gbps across all six connections. The design supports AHCI boot and port multiplier operation in non-RAID mode, but RAID arrays and hot-swap functionality are not available. Performance will scale with the host M.2 link width, so very heavy multi-drive workloads may saturate the upstream interface.

Aluminium heatsink and per-port activity LEDs

An integrated aluminium heatsink helps maintain stable temperatures during sustained transfers, while individual LEDs show presence and read/write activity for each drive. Over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection circuits guard connected devices. The card requires no driver installation on supported Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and VMware ESXi releases.
