The SMTAV PTZ camera delivers full HD 1080p video with a 10x optical zoom lens and 12x digital zoom for detailed close-ups. It is built for corporate conference rooms, classrooms, training centres and telemedicine spaces that need smooth, quiet pan-tilt-zoom coverage. A 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor with 2.1 million effective pixels captures clear images at minimal illumination of 0.1 lux. The camera supports multiple video formats including 1080p at 60, 50, 30 and 25 fps and 720p at 60 and 50 fps.

10x optical zoom with 255 presets

The single specification that decides fit is the 10x optical zoom combined with 255 preset positions, allowing instant recall of precise framing for speakers or zones. The lens ranges from a 4.7 mm wide angle with a 62-degree field of view to a 47 mm narrow angle of 5.2 degrees. Control is via RS-232 or RS-485 using VISCA, Pelco-D or Pelco-P protocols, with an RS-232 cascade port for multi-camera setups. Outputs include HDMI, IP streaming, USB 3.0, CVBS and audio. This model lacks night vision and Power over Ethernet.

Advanced control algorithms provide accurate, smooth and quiet PTZ movement that does not disturb speakers or audiences during meetings. The camera requires a separate power source as it does not support Power over Ethernet. It offers automatic and manual white balance, focus and iris control with an on-screen English menu accessible by the supplied infrared remote.
