USB4 40Gbps NVMe enclosure
The Syba SY-TDB40178 is a USB4 40Gbps enclosure that accepts M.2 NVMe SSDs with B+M-Key connectors. It draws power from the host port and needs no external adapter. The aluminium case provides passive cooling for sustained workloads.
B+M-Key M.2 NVMe only
Only M.2 NVMe drives with B+M-Key or M-Key pinouts fit this enclosure; SATA-based M.2 modules are not supported. Compatible lengths include 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110. The internal interface is PCIe NVMe exclusively.
Thunderbolt 3/4/5 host required
Full 40Gbps throughput requires a host port that implements Thunderbolt 3, 4 or 5 alongside USB4. The enclosure works with Windows, macOS, Linux, Unix, Android and iOS. It adds no active cooling, so system airflow must handle drive heat.
