WaveShare Breakout Board for Raspberry Pi Terminal Block HAT GPIO Status LED

SKU CH-EBBX-E93E7

A terminal-block HAT that breaks out every Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO header pin to screw terminals with 2.54 mm pitch and adds a status LED for each line

  • CPU TypeOther
  • Works with many Raspberry Pi models from 1B+ to 4B
  • Terminal blocks let you wire all 40 GPIO pins securely
  • On-board status LEDs show high or low logic level instantly
  • LEDs driven by dedicated chip so GPIO pins stay unaffected
  • BCM pin names printed beside each terminal for quick identification

Raspberry Pi Breakout Board

This WaveShare breakout board adds a terminal-block HAT to every 40-pin Raspberry Pi from the original 1B+ through the 4B and Zero variants. It exposes all GPIO pins on screw terminals with a 2.54 mm pitch and prints the BCM name beside each connection. A status LED per pin lights when the GPIO is high and stays off when low, driven by an independent driver chip so the GPIO line itself is never loaded. The Raspberry Pi 400 is not supported and the computer is not included.

Makers who need screw-terminal access

Hobbyists and educators who want to wire sensors, relays or buttons without soldering will appreciate the labelled terminals and instant visual feedback from the LEDs. Projects that require the Raspberry Pi 400 form factor cannot use this board because the pinout differs. Builds that rely on HAT stacking or need a compact low-profile header should look at alternative designs that do not add the terminal-block height.

Fits on any standard 40-pin header

The board sits directly on the Pi's GPIO header and breaks out every pin to the terminal blocks, freeing you from jumper wires and breadboards. No extra power supply or driver installation is required; the on-board LED driver draws its power from the Pi itself. Ensure your enclosure has enough vertical clearance for the terminal blocks and that the 2.54 mm pitch matches your wiring loom.

Perguntas sobre este artigo

Which Raspberry Pi board must I already own to mount this HAT?

This breakout board fits every 40-pin model from the original 1B+ through the 4B and all Zero variants; the Pi 400 is the only current board it will not accept.

Will the on-board status LEDs change the logic level of the GPIO pins I keep using for sensors?

Each LED is driven by its own buffer chip, so the indicator lights reflect pin state without loading or altering the signal seen by your external circuits.

How can I confirm the terminal-block connections are live after I wire the HAT?

When a GPIO is driven high its corresponding LED illuminates; when the pin goes low the LED extinguishes, giving immediate visual verification of every channel.
