The LONGER Ray5 is a 10 W diode laser engraver built around a 400 × 400 mm working area and a 3.5 inch colour touchscreen. It cuts 20 mm wood and 30 mm acrylic in a single pass and engraves with a 0.06 × 0.06 mm spot at up to 24 000 mm per minute. A 32-bit controller drives the motion system and handles Wi-Fi, USB, TF card and app connections for offline use.

Makers who need a large bed and simple controls

Hobbyists and small studios cutting thick wood or acrylic sheets will benefit from the generous bed and high optical power. The fixed-focus head removes manual focusing steps, and the touchscreen lets you start jobs without a computer. Users who require rotary engraving, air-assist integration or a fully enclosed cabinet should look at other platforms because those features are not included.

0.06 × 0.06 mm laser spot

The compressed laser spot measures 0.06 × 0.06 mm, which determines the finest detail the machine can reproduce. This spot size enables sharp text, clean vector lines and photo-grade dithering on wood, leather, acrylic and coated metal. If your workflow demands finer resolution than 0.06 mm, this engraver will not meet that requirement.
