120 mm PWM case fan for radiator or chassis intake

The Thermaltake ToughFan 12 Turbo is a 120 mm fan built for case or radiator mounting. It uses a 4-pin PWM connector to vary speed between 500 and 2500 RPM. Grey liquid crystal polymer blades and a metal-reinforced motor hub aim to reduce vibration at high speed. The Gen.2 hydraulic bearing is designed for lower noise and longer life.

PWM control limits and airflow ceiling

The fan’s PWM interface lets the motherboard command any speed from 500 to 2500 RPM, but the curve is defined by the board’s firmware, not the fan. At the top speed it delivers 72.69 CFM and 3.78 mm-H2O static pressure, with a rated noise of 28.1 dBA. Below the minimum PWM duty the fan may stop or run at a fixed floor speed depending on the header implementation.

Header current and mounting clearance

Verify that your motherboard or fan controller can supply enough current for the 4-pin PWM header; some dense header clusters share a single rail. The frame measures 120.00 x 120.00 x 25.00 mm, so confirm that your case or radiator has 25 mm depth clearance and standard 120 mm screw spacing. Anti-vibration mounts are included but add a few millimetres to the overall thickness.
