Server DDR3L Upgrade Module

This 8 GB registered DIMM adds ECC-protected memory to compatible DDR3 or DDR3L servers and workstations. It operates at 1333 MHz with a low 1.35 V supply and fits 240-pin slots. The module is not compatible with desktop or laptop computers.

Replaces Slower or Smaller Registered DIMMs

Swapping out lower-capacity or higher-voltage registered modules for this dual-rank x4 part increases the memory pool available to virtualisation hosts and database workloads. The jump is worthwhile when the platform supports DDR3L 1333 registered ECC and the existing configuration leaves free DIMM slots.

Limited to DDR3 and DDR3L Platforms

The 240-pin interface and registered signalling prevent use in any system that requires unbuffered memory or a newer DDR generation. Maximum throughput is capped at the PC3L-10600 data rate, and the module cannot exceed 1.5 V even if the board supplies it.
