Acumen Disc CrossOver DVD Duplicator

The Acumen Disc CrossOver DVD AD08-MMP is a standalone multimedia duplicator that copies between flash memory cards, USB drives and optical discs. It reads CompactFlash, Secure Digital, Memory Stick and USB sources, then writes to any of those formats or burns up to eight CD or DVD blanks simultaneously. No host computer or software is required.

Suits archivists and service bureaus converting

This unit fits workflows that need bi-directional transfer between flash memory and optical discs, including multi-session compilation and disc spanning across multiple blanks. It does not serve environments that require Blu-ray authoring, network-attached operation, robotic autoloaders or direct hard-drive cloning.

The duplicator includes one reader drive, eight writer drives, a 20 x 2 LCD display, tray loading, and an AC power supply that accepts 115-230 V at 50/60 Hz. Blank CD or DVD discs and flash memory cards or USB drives are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which supported media type should I choose for the source?

You can use a USB flash drive, CompactFlash card, Secure Digital card, Memory Stick, or an optical disc (CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R) as the source. The duplicator reads one source at a time from the reader drive or the front media deck slots.

What does the 33 MB/s transfer rate mean when copying to discs?

The 33 MB/s rate is the internal data transfer speed. Disc writing speeds are 52X for CD-R, 24X for DVD±R, and 8X for DVD±RW, so actual copy time depends on the disc format and the amount of data being written.
