16mm Yellow Momentary Pushbutton

This illuminated pushbutton combines a momentary switch with a separate yellow LED in a black plastic housing. It is suited for hobbyists, students and engineers adding a tactile input with visual feedback to breadboard or panel-mount projects. The LED operates independently so it can show status, act as a locator light or simply add style.

Simple panel mount with separate LED wiring

The 16mm threaded body fits a standard panel cut-out and secures with the included nut. Four terminals underneath — two for the normally-open switch and two marked + and – for the LED — keep circuits independent. A 220 to 1000 ohm series resistor is required for the 3V forward-voltage LED; omitting it will burn out the emitter. Solder tags are small so use fine tip and minimal heat.

Momentary action with independent 3V yellow LED

The switch closes only while pressed and opens immediately on release, making it ideal for momentary triggers such as reset, mode select or user input. Because the LED is electrically isolated, the same button can signal power-on, confirm a press or stay dark until software decides.
