Adafruit Infineon Trust M Breakout

This STEMMA QT breakout board carries the Infineon OPTIGA TRUST M SLS 32AIA security chip for developers adding hardware-based cryptography to embedded projects. It provides an I2C interface and includes a 0.1 inch header for breadboard or perfboard use.

4.5K user memory with RSA and ECC

The chip offers 4.5K of user memory alongside RSA 1024/2048 and ECC NIST P256/P384 support, plus SHA-256, TRNG and DRNG functions. It handles secure key storage and true random number generation but lacks the larger memory or different algorithm sets found in other secure elements.

Low-power cryptographic operation

The board draws minimal current during cryptographic operations and runs silently with no active cooling required. Its 1.8 gram weight and 4.7 millimetre profile add negligible thermal load to a prototype, making it suitable for compact, battery-powered designs.
