10GBase-SR SFP+ transceiver for multi-mode fiber

This AddOn AFBR-703SDZ-AO module provides a 10GBase-SR interface for short-reach links over multi-mode fiber. It targets network engineers upgrading or repairing 10 GbE switches and servers that accept SFP+ optics. The unit operates at an 850 nm wavelength and uses an LC duplex connector.

MSA compliance and digital diagnostics simplify

The transceiver follows the Multi-Source Agreement so it fits a broad range of OEM platforms without voiding service contracts. Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring lets administrators track temperature, voltage and optical power in real time, making link troubleshooting faster and reducing unplanned downtime.

300 m reach on OM3 limits longer runs

OM3 multi-mode fiber supports the rated 300 m distance; OM2 or OM1 grades reduce the maximum span. The 850 nm VCSEL source cannot drive single-mode cable, so the module is unsuitable for campus or metro links that exceed the multi-mode budget.
