Switched 0U PDU for dense rack deployments

The APC AP8953 is a switched rack power distribution unit designed for vertical 0U mounting in server cabinets. It accepts a 32 A IEC 309 input and delivers power through twenty-one C13 and three C19 locking outlets. Remote outlet switching, power sequencing and real-time current metering are managed via Web, SNMP, CLI or Telnet interfaces.

Suited for administrators needing outlet-level

This unit fits environments that require remote reboot capability, controlled startup sequencing to prevent inrush overloads, and per-outlet load monitoring with alarm thresholds. It is not intended for installations that lack a 32 A single-phase supply or that need a horizontal 1U/2U form factor instead of a full-height vertical chassis.

24 outlets with 32 A total capacity

The twenty-one C13 and three C19 receptacles support dense mixed-workload racks while the 32 A input rating sets the aggregate power ceiling. Metering and user-defined alarms give visibility up to that limit, and the 10 ft input cord reaches typical overhead or floor PDUs. Beyond 32 A the unit cannot supply additional current.
