Product identity

The APC Back-UPS BK500 is a 500 VA standby UPS delivering 300 W of battery-backed power for desktop computers, networking gear and home-office peripherals. It connects to a 120 V mains supply through a NEMA 5-15P plug and provides six NEMA 5-15R outlets.

Bundled accessories

Three outlets supply battery backup with surge protection while the other three provide surge-only protection for less critical loads. A USB port and included cable enable communication with the supplied management software on CD, and RJ-45 pass-through protects Ethernet or fax lines from transients. Cord-management straps help keep cabling tidy.

Suitability
