500VA Lithium-Ion UPS

The APC SCL500RM1UNC is a 500VA and 400W sine-wave uninterruptible power supply built with a lithium-ion battery. It mounts in a 1U rack space and includes the necessary support rails for installation. The unit is designed for distributed IT environments that require reliable backup power in a compact form factor. SmartConnect cloud monitoring allows administrators to check status and receive alerts from any internet-connected device.

Upgrade from lead-acid units

This model replaces older UPS systems that rely on traditional lead-acid batteries, which typically require more frequent replacement and occupy more rack depth. The switch is worthwhile when longer battery service life, reduced maintenance visits, and lighter weight are priorities for the deployment. Remote firmware updates and cloud-based notifications further reduce the need for on-site intervention compared to unmonitored legacy hardware.

Rackmount power protection

The UPS accepts a NEMA 5-15P input plug and provides four NEMA 5-15R output receptacles at a nominal 120V. An LED panel displays operating mode, SmartConnect connectivity, network status, and battery-replacement warnings at a glance. Registering the unit through SmartConnect adds an extra year of battery coverage.
