2U Rackmount Server Chassis

The Athena Power RM-DD2U24E608 is a 2U rackmount chassis built from 1.2mm steel with a black finish. It accepts ATX, E-ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards and includes a 600W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply. Three 80mm fans and a removable, washable air filter handle internal airflow. Dual lockable front doors add a physical security layer for deployed systems.

Upgrade from Tower or 1U Enclosures

This chassis replaces tower cases when equipment must fit a standard 19-inch rack and front-door security is required. The four external 5.25-inch bays support optical drives or hot-swap modules that a 1U unit cannot accommodate. Full-height expansion needs a riser card, which is not included, so the jump is worthwhile only when rack density and lockable access outweigh the loss of low-profile slot convenience.

Installation Notes

The unit measures 24.6 inches deep, 19 inches wide and 3.5 inches high; verify rack depth and weight capacity before mounting. The 600W supply operates on 88 to 264 volts AC and weighs two pounds, while the chassis itself weighs 15 pounds. Riser cards for the three full-height slots must be sourced separately, and cable routing in the 2U height can be tight with larger coolers or long graphics cards.
