Sustained transfer behaviour

The 7200RPM mechanism feeds the 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 link, so long sequential reads and writes stay closer to the interface ceiling than on slower-spindle alternatives. Large backup jobs or video offloads therefore keep a steadier throughput over many minutes rather than dropping after an initial burst cache fills. The hub does not share the drive's bandwidth, so attached devices do not slow the main volume.

Thermals, noise and power

An aluminium chassis acts as a heatsink while a fan-less design keeps acoustic output near zero during normal operation. Passive cooling handles the 7200RPM drive's heat without audible airflow, making the unit suitable for quiet rooms. Power is drawn from the included external adapter, so the host USB port only carries data.
