This PCIe 3.1 network adapter uses the Intel I225-V controller to add a single 2.5GBase-T RJ45 port to a desktop or workstation. It fits x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 slots and includes a low-profile bracket for slim chassis. Supported operating systems include Windows 10, Windows 11, Linux, ESXi 7.0, OpenWrt, Unraid and Proxmox VE.

Passive cooling with low power draw

The card relies on passive cooling and the Intel I225-V's integrated MAC and PHY design, so it runs silently without a fan. Typical power consumption stays modest during normal 2.5G, 1G, 100M or 10M Ethernet traffic. Wake-on-LAN and TSN features operate without adding audible noise or measurable heat in everyday use.

Sustained multi-gigabit throughput under load

Under continuous 2.5Gbps transfer the controller maintains line-rate performance across 2500BASE-T, 1000BASE-T and 100BASE-TX links. PXE boot and full TSN offload remain stable during long sessions. The adapter is not suited for builds that require dual ports or fibre connectivity.
