This C&N network card adds two RJ45 ports through a PCIe x4 slot using the Intel I350-T2 controller. It targets servers and workstations that need extra wired links for virtualisation, iSCSI storage or failover configurations. Low-Profile PCIe x4 Build

The card fits a PCI Express 2.1 lane at 2.5 or 5 GT/s and is mechanically compatible with x8 and x16 slots. A low-profile bracket is included for shallow chassis. Two copper RJ45 connectors provide link and activity LEDs, while Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot let administrators manage remote power-up and network installation.

Gigabit Speed Ceiling

Each port tops out at 1000 megabytes per second under the IEEE 802.3ab Gigabit Ethernet standard, so aggregate throughput cannot exceed two gigabits per second. The PCIe 2.1 x4 interface supplies enough bandwidth for both ports at line rate, but the adapter cannot accelerate beyond single-gigabit links or provide 2.5G or 10G connectivity.
