Dual SFP+ 10Gb PCIe 3.0 x8 NIC

The C&N network adapter uses a Broadcom BCM57810 controller to deliver two 10 Gbps SFP+ ports over a PCI Express 3.0 x8 interface. It targets servers and workstations that need converged Ethernet, iSCSI or FCoE connectivity in virtualised environments.

Low-profile brackets and SFP+ cages

A full-height bracket and a low-profile bracket are included so the card fits standard or compact chassis. The dual SFP+ cages accept 10 Gbps transceivers, direct-attach cables or active optical cables for flexible rack cabling.

PCIe 3.0 x8 electrical limit

The card operates at PCIe 3.0 x8 speeds and is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 and 1.1 slots. Bandwidth is constrained by the x8 link and the SFP+ 10 Gbps per port ceiling, so aggregated throughput cannot exceed that interface limit.
