32 GB DDR4 2666 kit for overclocking builds

This Corsair Vengeance LPX kit delivers 32 GB of DDR4 memory in two 16 GB modules rated at 2666 MT/s with CL16 timings. The low-profile anodized aluminum heatspreader and eight-layer PCB are designed to manage heat during high-performance overclocking on Intel 100, 200, 300, 400 Series and X299 platforms as well as AMD 300, 400 Series and X570 chipsets. Intel XMP 2.0 profiles enable automatic configuration at 1.20 V.

Straightforward 288-pin installation with XMP

Installation follows the standard 288-pin DIMM procedure: align the notch, press firmly until the retention clips lock, then enable the XMP 2.0 profile in the motherboard BIOS to apply the rated 16-18-18-35 timings. The most common issues arise when XMP is left disabled, causing the modules to run at a lower default speed, or when four modules are populated on boards that only validate two-module kits at the rated frequency.

DDR4 platform limits at 2666 MT/s

The DDR4 interface at 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300) provides higher bandwidth and lower power consumption than DDR3, but the maximum stable frequency depends on the memory controller of the specific CPU and the motherboard topology. Intel X99, 100, 200, 300, 400 Series and X299 platforms plus AMD 300, 400 Series and X570 chipsets are the validated targets; running beyond the rated 2666 MT/s requires manual tuning and may exceed the silicon headroom of these ICs.
