Will this 288-pin DDR4 LRDIMM fit in my standard desktop motherboard?

This module uses a 288-pin LRDIMM form factor. LRDIMMs require a motherboard with registered-memory support and are not compatible with standard consumer desktop boards that accept only unbuffered UDIMMs.

How will the quad-rank design affect my system if I add this alongside existing memory?

The module is quad-rank (4Rx4). Each rank adds electrical load to the memory controller; mixing ranks can limit the maximum stable speed or total capacity your platform supports.
