The CyberPower AVRG750U is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply built in a desktop form factor. It delivers 750 VA and 450 W of simulated sine-wave output to keep desktop computers, workstations, networking gear and home entertainment systems running during outages. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects minor fluctuations between 90 V and 148 V without using battery capacity. Twelve NEMA 5-15R outlets, a USB management port and RJ11 protection cover power, data and phone-line surge needs.

Runtime and Topology Constraints

At half load the internal sealed lead-acid battery provides 7.6 minutes of backup; at full load that drops to 2.5 minutes, so the unit is suited for graceful shutdown rather than extended operation. Recharging takes eight hours after a discharge event. The simulated sine-wave waveform is compatible with most active-PFC power supplies but may not support sensitive medical or precision audio equipment. Input frequency tolerance is 60 Hz ± 3 Hz, and output frequency is held to 60 Hz ± 1 % when on battery.

Upgrade from Basic Surge Strips

This UPS replaces a standard surge-protected power strip by adding battery backup, AVR and USB monitoring through PowerPanel Personal Edition software. The jump is worth it when unexpected power loss risks data corruption on a desktop or when voltage sags and swells are frequent enough to shorten power-supply life. It is not for buyers who need pure sine-wave output, longer runtime at high loads, or network-card management without an attached computer.
