The Defender Sentinel 4K system delivers a complete wired surveillance solution for property owners who want local recording without recurring fees. Sixteen IP cameras connect directly to the network video recorder through Power-over-Ethernet cables that carry both data and power. The included 12TB hard drive stores footage from all channels, and the recorder outputs video via HDMI or VGA for local monitoring.

Sustained 25 FPS Recording Across Every Channel

Each of the sixteen channels records at up to 25 frames per second using H.265 or H.264 compression to optimise storage efficiency. Motion, continuous and scheduled recording modes let you tailor capture strategy to the scene, while AI-powered human detection filters alerts to reduce false notifications. ONVIF support allows integration with third-party management platforms if the dedicated Empower app does not meet every workflow requirement.

IP66 Metal Turret Cameras

The compact metal turrets carry an IP66 weather rating for year-round outdoor deployment and a built-in microphone for audio capture with minimal delay. Infrared LEDs provide up to 100ft of vibrant color night vision, and the 109° wide-angle lens covers broad areas with 8MP resolution. Blue-red flashing lights and a spotlight activate automatically on human detection for active deterrence. The system requires the Defender Empower app exclusively and is incompatible with other Defender applications.
