Verify SAS backplane and controller support

Confirm that your server has a SAS 12 Gb/s backplane and a RAID controller or HBA that supports 12 Gb/s speeds. The included Gen14 caddy matches Dell 14th-generation drive trays; earlier or later generations may use a different latch design.
