It ships with a compatible Dell caddy for direct installation in supported chassis. The drive targets read-intensive workloads such as boot, logging and virtualisation storage tiers.

The RI endurance rating fits workloads dominated by reads, including OS volumes, web serving and VDI linked clones. Environments that sustain heavy random writes — such as OLTP databases, write-ahead logs or continuous video ingest — will exceed the drive’s write budget and should select a write-intensive or mixed-use model instead.
