Dell Constellation ES.3 3TB SAS Drive

This new Dell Constellation ES.3 drive provides 3TB of storage on a 3.5" SAS interface running at 7200 RPM with a 128MB buffer. It is supplied in a lot of 10 units, each including a PowerEdge server caddy for direct installation.

Suited for PowerEdge server upgrades

The included caddies match the drive bays of PowerEdge R310, R320, R410, R415, R420, R510, R515, R520, R610, R620, R710, R720, R720xd, T310, T320, T410, T420, T610, T620 and T710 systems. Buyers who need a different form factor or a non-SAS interface should look elsewhere.

6Gb/s SAS interface decides compatibility

The drive connects via a 3.5" SAS 6Gb/s port, so the host system must provide that exact interface. Without a compatible SAS backplane or controller, the drive cannot be used.
