It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory in two 16 GB modules and two 120 GB SATA SSDs managed by an H730P RAID controller. This configuration targets businesses that need a dense compute platform for virtualisation, database or application workloads.

Verify rack space power and networking

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 2U chassis with eight 2.5 inch drive bays and that you have redundant 1100 W power connections available. The network daughter card provides two 10 Gb RJ45 and two 1 Gb RJ45 ports so plan switch ports and cabling accordingly. Remote management uses iDRAC9 Enterprise which requires a dedicated management network segment for full out of band access.

Eight drive bays and eight PCIe Gen 3 slots

The server offers eight 2.5 inch bays so the two included SSDs leave six bays open for additional storage expansion. Up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots are available for add in cards such as GPUs, extra NICs or storage controllers.
