This enterprise solid-state drive delivers 3.84TB of storage in a 2.5-inch small form factor. It is built for Dell Gen13 PowerEdge servers that require high-capacity, read-optimised flash storage. The drive uses MLC memory and a SAS interface to serve read-intensive workloads such as data warehousing and analytics.

SAS 12Gbps interface practical limits

The 12Gbps SAS link provides a maximum theoretical throughput of 12Gbps, though real-world sustained rates depend on the host controller, backplane and cable quality. The interface supports dual-port operation for path redundancy in high-availability clusters. Systems limited to 6Gbps SAS will operate the drive at the lower speed without compatibility issues.
