The Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro Desktop measures 36 mm wide, 178.56 mm deep and 182 mm high, weighing 1.16 kg. It houses a six-core Intel Core i5-10500T processor with a base frequency of 2.3 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 3.8 GHz. The system ships with 64 GB of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB solid-state drive and a 1 TB hard drive. Windows 10 Professional is pre-installed and the unit includes a keyboard and mouse. No wireless card is fitted.

Dual-drive storage configuration

The 128 GB solid-state drive provides fast boot and application load times while the 1 TB hard drive adds bulk capacity for documents and archives. This combination lets the operating system and frequently used programs run from flash memory without sacrificing total storage space. The keyboard and mouse are supplied so the system is ready for immediate deployment. The absence of a wireless card means a wired Ethernet connection or an optional add-in module is required for network access.

DisplayPort and USB 3.2 Gen 1 limits

Two DisplayPort outputs drive external monitors using the processor's integrated graphics. Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports support data rates up to 5 Gbit/s and one port features Smart Power On for charging devices while the system is off. An optional port bracket can add Serial, PS/2, VGA, DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.0 connectivity. The micro form factor does not accommodate full-size expansion cards, so users needing discrete graphics or additional I/O must rely on external solutions.
