The Dell OptiPlex 7040 Micro is a compact business desktop built around a 64-bit quad-core Intel Core i5 6600T processor running at 2.70 GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed and 8 GB of DDR4 memory. The 128 GB SSD provides the primary storage in a form factor designed to fit almost anywhere on a desk or behind a display.

Display output and connectivity

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 drives one DisplayPort and one HDMI port, while legacy VGA and DVI connectors are absent, so older monitors will require an adapter. Six USB 3.0 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet jack handle peripherals and wired networking, but no Wi-Fi, keyboard or mouse are included in the box.

Capacity and headroom
