This 1U rack server is built for organisations that need a compact, redundant platform for virtualisation, database or file workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2603v3 six-core processor running at 1.6 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 memory. The chassis supports up to two processors and twelve DIMM slots for future expansion.

PERC H730 RAID controller

The integrated PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache enables RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the three included 1.2 TB 7.2K SAS drives. Eight hot-plug 2.5-inch bays allow additional SAS or SATA drives to be added without downtime. A DVD-ROM drive and iDRAC8 remote management are also fitted.

Single processor limits maximum memory to 384 GB

With one CPU installed the system can address up to 384 GB of DDR4 across six active DIMM slots per processor. Buyers who need the full 16 TB raw capacity or the maximum 384 GB memory ceiling must add a second compatible Xeon processor. The 550 W redundant power supply and four 1 GbE ports remain unchanged.
