The eight 2.5" bays are populated with Dell drive fillers, so you must provide compatible SAS or SATA drives to use the PERC H330 controller.

Will the PERC H330 controller still manage my existing 6 Gb/s SATA SSDs?

The H330 supports 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA and is backward compatible with 6 Gb/s SATA devices, so older SSDs will operate at their rated speed.
