Confirm you have 2U of rack height and rails compatible with the supplied kit. The server requires two hot-swap 750 W power supplies fed from redundant circuits. Eight 3.5-inch SAS drive bays are wired to the PERC H740P controller; ensure your backplane and cables support 12 Gb/s SAS. Two onboard 1 GbE RJ45 ports handle network connectivity.

The PERC H740P adds 8 GB cache and battery-backed write caching enabling RAID 0 1 5 6 10 50 60 plus pass-through. iDRAC 9 Enterprise provides full remote management with virtual console and automation APIs.
