Dual 16-Core Xeon Platform

The DELL PowerEdge R540 is a 2U rack server built around two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors running at 2.1GHz with a 3.7GHz turbo frequency. Each chip provides 16 cores, giving 32 threads total for parallel workloads. The system includes 256GB of DDR4-2666 ECC registered memory across eight 32GB modules. It targets virtualization, database management and software-defined storage deployments.

Twelve-Bay Storage Chassis

The chassis holds twelve 3.5-inch drive bays populated with 4TB 7.2K SATA hard drives. A Dell PERC H330 controller manages the array over 12Gb/s SAS and SATA links. Two 750-watt platinum power supplies deliver redundant power. Dual integrated gigabit ethernet ports handle network connectivity while iDRAC 9 Express provides remote management. The front bezel and ready rails are not included.

H330 Controller And iDRAC Management

The PERC H330 storage controller enables RAID configuration across the twelve installed drives without occupying a PCIe slot. iDRAC 9 Express allows administrators to monitor hardware health, update firmware and control power states from a separate network interface. Dual platinum power supplies maintain uptime if one unit fails. The server ships without rails or a front bezel, so mounting hardware must be sourced separately.
