The system ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 slots. Two 800 GB SATA SSDs and a PERC H730P RAID controller provide storage. Quad-port networking adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote management. Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies and rails are included.

This configuration replaces a single-processor server when workloads need 24 total cores and up to 3 TB of memory. The jump is worth it when virtualisation density, database throughput or container orchestration demand dual-socket performance in 1U of rack space. The H730P controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a 2 GB cache battery. The X520/I350 daughter card delivers 10 Gb SFP+ connectivity without extra adapters. iDRAC 9 Enterprise adds full lifecycle automation.

Verify rack depth, power

Confirm the cabinet accepts a 1U chassis with front-to-rear airflow and enough depth for the included rails. Ensure the PDU can supply two 750 W redundant feeds at the required voltage. The front panel holds eight 2.5-inch bays; only two are populated with 800 GB SATA SSDs so plan additional drives if capacity must grow. Memory uses DDR4 RDIMMs only — do not mix generations. Network uplinks require SFP+ transceivers and compatible switch ports for 10 Gb operation.
