This 2U rack server delivers 32 physical cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.0 GHz turbo for midsize and large enterprise workloads such as data warehousing, VDI, databases and HPC data nodes. It ships new with 512 GB of registered ECC DDR4 across 24 slots, leaving headroom to the 1.5 TB maximum. The Intel C610 chipset and dual LGA 2011-3 sockets support the installed processor pair at the platform limit.

PERC H730 RAID and Quad-Port Networking

The included PERC H730 1 GB controller adds hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through across eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA trays. Battery-backed cache protects in-flight writes during power loss. A daughter card supplies two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports for flexible LAN and storage networking. iDRAC 8 Enterprise enables full remote management without an operating system.

512 GB Memory and Eight-Bay Storage Headroom

Fifty-twelve gigabytes of DDR4-2400 handles large virtualisation clusters and in-memory databases; the 24-slot design allows growth to 1.5 TB when workloads demand more capacity. Eight front trays accept SAS or SATA drives but no drives are installed, so buyers who need immediate capacity must add them. Dual 750 W platinum supplies provide redundant power for the configured components.
