Thirty-two total cores and 64 GB of registered DDR4 ECC memory give virtualisation hosts, database nodes and HPC clusters the thread count and capacity they need without sprawling across extra racks.

Eight-bay flash storage and quad-port networking

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays come filled with 800 GB SATA SSDs behind a PERC H730 controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports, while iDRAC 8 Enterprise provides dedicated out-of-band management so the server can be deployed headless in a locked cabinet.

Redundant 750 W platinum supplies

Dual hot-swap 750 W platinum power supplies share the load and keep the system running if one unit fails. The 2U form factor uses front-to-rear cooling tuned for standard rack rows, so the server draws cool air from the cold aisle and exhausts heat to the hot aisle without needing special ducting or side-breathing clearance.
