The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 ten-core processor running at 2.3 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and two 1 TB 7.2 K SATA drives managed by a PERC H330 RAID controller. Dual 750 W redundant power supplies and a DVD ROM drive complete the configuration.

This server fits environments that need up to two processors and 24 DIMM slots for future DDR4 expansion while using the installed 16 GB today. It is not suited for workloads that require the full 1536 GB maximum memory capacity or more than eight 2.5-inch drive bays without adding hardware.
