The Dell PowerEdge R730xd fits twelve 3.5-inch drives in a 2U rack chassis. Two Xeon E5-2698 v4 processors run at 2.2 GHz with twenty cores each. Five hundred twelve gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed and the platform supports up to 768 GB total.

Sustained load on twenty cores per socket

The PERC H730 SAS controller manages RAID across all twelve bays for continuous throughput. Dual 1100 W power supplies share the load and provide redundancy during extended operation. Integrated Intel I350 and X540 network adapters deliver two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports for steady data movement.

Rail kit optional and drives not included

The server ships without drives so you must supply compatible SATA or SAS disks. iDRAC8 Enterprise remote management is licensed and firmware is updated before dispatch. Rack rails are available on request; without them you need your own mounting hardware.
