Adds bays and faster RAID over smaller platforms

Compared with 1U or eight-bay 2U systems, this chassis doubles the drive count to twelve and pairs it with a Perc H730 controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The jump is worth it when datasets exceed eight spindles or when rebuild times demand 12 Gbps SAS connectivity.

Sustained throughput with redundant power

Dual 750 W hot-swap supplies keep the array and controller online during a module failure, while the H730’s 1 GB cache absorbs write bursts across the three 300 GB 15 K SAS drives. Six PCIe 3.0 slots remain available for additional NICs or HBAs without throttling the storage path.
