Single E5-2609 v3 limits headroom

One six-core Xeon at 1.9 GHz is installed with 8 GB of DDR4 across 24 DIMM slots. The chipset caps official memory speed at 2400 MT/s and the board only supports one processor unless a second kit is sourced separately.

Rails and cabling take the time

Sliding rails must be fitted to a four-post rack before the 26.8-inch deep chassis slides in. The H330 controller uses a dedicated slot so all six PCIe 3.0 slots stay free, but the 3.5-inch drive trays are not included with the three 300 GB SAS drives.
