Single Xeon E5-2650 v3 with ten cores at 2.3 GHz

The installed processor provides ten physical cores and twenty threads via hyper-threading at a base frequency of 2.3 GHz. A second socket is available on the Intel C610 chipset but remains unpopulated. This CPU choice fixes the memory speed ceiling and the PCIe 3.0 lane budget for the six expansion slots and dedicated RAID slot.
