The chassis occupies 2U and includes sliding rails plus a front bezel. Confirm your rack depth and airflow layout suit a 2U unit. The installed X520/I350 daughter card provides two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports, so plan SFP+ transceivers and cabling accordingly.

Replaces single-socket or smaller storage servers

Moving from a single-processor platform doubles core count to 40 and raises maximum memory to 3 TB across 24 slots.
